I've been using Optima Red Tops for many, many years and have always been pleased with their performance. After a factory capped-battery sloshed acid under the hood of one of my cars and caused damage to AC lines, etc. I decided it was time to go with a sealed battery design. The Optimas have always performed very well in several different vehicles over the years without a problem. Yes, they can be pricey, but I've gotten good reliability out of them.

Excellent battery at a good price
Excellent battery at a good price. Be sure to buy from an authorized dealer (this one is) so that you will get the warranty and it will be delivered in a factory designed, well-protected package. I needed this style and type of battery because I needed to relocate the battery from under the hood into a battery box in the rear of my RAV4 (in other words it would be inside the passenger space of the car).

Some people have trashed Optima batteries recently stating that quality might be on the decline but I have not observed this to be the case. My old Redtop lasted 4 BRUTAL years and was only finally "killed" by an alternator problem. If I had the means to buy the special chargers required for an Optima I would be trying to revive it but replacing it was more viable. Optima makes a killer battery.

Battery arrived in a large box which held the original manufactures packaging of the battery. Checked voltage battery was fully charged I installed it immediately and it worked as you would expect a new battery to work plus it saved me over 100.00 from buying it locally very pleased with my purchase.

Good ol Optima!!
So far in my 03 SRT-4 has had 2 of these 1st one died past is 10 year anniversary and the replacement is just like the 1st can take loads of use and when it ever gives out do to all my car shows with my audio, lighting n computers it chargers fast with my trusty Black&Decker charger...... This order went to my 05 Durango will be kinda stock so it should have a easy life such a awsome product!!

Easy installation on 1995 GMC Sonoma.
Perfect fit for a 1995 GMC Sonoma. Installation took just a few seconds and did not require any changes to the battery tray, lockdown retainer, or battery cables. The battery arrived fully charged and ready to go. There's a convenient handle that pulls up on the top, making it easy to lift the battery into place (and remove it when the time comes).

This Optima battery actually outlasts any acid battery I've had in 45 years. The thing actually gave up after 11 years. It gave me plenty of warning for 3 years by not wanting to turn the engine readily, the first turn, then it would spin it over nicely and then it just faded. I have Optima's in both my hot rods and in my previous street car and my current street car will have one when the OEM battery gives up. And, if you do a little digging you can buy at a price competitive to the best acid battery. I hope the quality has been preserved in the product!
